PROMO ROUNDUP! for 5/18/11

by on May 18, 2011

We’ve been a bit skimpy on Promo Roundup the past few weeks, but no worries! We’re back this week and we’ve gathered some of the more important promos from Youtube as your favorite indie wrestling stars go to the internet to trash-talk their foes! Stars like Chris Daniels, Sami Callihan, and a classic promo from 1994 featuring “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes!

To see these videos in their entirety, click under the cut!

First, Tony Nese discusses how he’s coming to Evolve 8  (which you can order THIS FRIDAY NIGHT on iPPV if you click on the WWNLive banner on the side of the page and sign up for a free account) to win and not just put on a good show.

Next, Sami Callihan with a special challenge to kick off the D.U.F. tour through Dragon Gate USA!

Next, Christopher Daniels talks about his match at Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor 6 in Chicago Ridge, Illinois (of which we WILL have a live report in multiple forms on this website) against Colt Cabana THIS SATURDAY NIGHT!

Reed Bentley from our 10 for ’11 indie wrestling rookie class comes to us with comments taped on the first night of the Heartland Wrestling Association’s Heartland Cup!

Finally, an all-time classic promo. In my (Tom) personal opinion, this is the single greatest promo ever cut. Dustin Rhodes had been turned on by Arn Anderson in his war with the Stud Stable and was a one-man army against guys like Meng, Anderson and Terry Funk. That is, until his father intervened. What follows might be the only piece of video that always makes me bawl my eyes out, yet never leaves me without the desire to see the Rhodes family make some punks bleed.
