GLEEBLOG #6: Glee GOSSIP! (Includes Spoilers)

Glee returns tomorrow night! I don’t know about you, but my Tuesdays have been feeling a little empty without the McKinley High gang. Months ago, I started following Gleetastic (now Wetpaint’s Glee page) on Facebook. They often post pictures from set, interviews with cast members and rumors about upcoming episodes. I’m going to post some of the rumors they have for the rest of the season, so if you don’t want to know, STOP READING NOW!!!
(spoilers are under the cut)

Tomorrow’s episode, “A Night Of Neglect”:

-Many of the songs featured are from under-appreciated artists or one-hit wonders.

-Gwyneth Paltrow returns as Holly Holliday, and she’ll be singing Adele’s “Turning Tables”

-Charice returns as Sunshine Corazon to help the glee club put on a benefit concert, where she sings Celine Dion’s “All By Myself”

-Sue assembles her League of Doom, consisting of former glee club director Sandy Ryerson, new Vocal Adrenaline coach Dustin Goolsby and Mr. Shchue’s ex-wife Terri Schuester, in an attempt to bring Will Schuester and the glee club down. Terri’s codename? Honey Badger.

-Tina will sing Lykke Li’s “I Follow Rivers”

-Mercedes will perform “Ain’t No Way” by Aretha Franklin

-The Warblers sing Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know”

April 26, “Born This Way” *A special 90-minute episode!*:

-The glee club will sing Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way”. Mr. Schue decides to use Lady Gaga’s music to teach the kids about “self-acceptance and embracing what makes you unique”.

-Karofsky starts to realize that he really was “born this way”.

-Lauren and Quinn race against each other for prom queen

-Rachel makes a life-altering decision (I’ve heard it involves a nose job)

-Emma comes to turn with her

-Santana comes up with a devious plan to change the glee club’s balance (or, in other words, she just acts like Santana)

Set to happen at some point in the rest of the season:

-One of the episodes will feature a 70’s flashback

-An “extremely unlikely couple” will get together. Any guesses as to who?

-Jonathan Groff returns as Jesse St. James for the last three episodes of the season (Tom’ s pretty excited about that one)

-There will be a Fleetwood Mac-centric episode, focusing on their Rumours album.

-Sue dresses up as David Bowie

-Rachel and Quinn do a duet (I’m hoping for a diva-off-esque vocal catfight!)

-Kristin Chenoweth returns as April Rhodes on May 3, singing an original song called “It’s 10 AM and I’m Drunk”.

-Kurt returns to New Directions!

-Finn thinks Quinn is cheating on him with Sam, so Finn and Rachel follow him around.

-Speaking of Sam, we’ll see his brother and sister.

-Rachel is supposed to have multiple prom dates

-Holly may start dating Dustin Goolsby

-To get over Brittany’s rejection, Santana hooks up with a another guy

-Finn and Rachel plan prom together

-Blaine goes to Nationals in New York with the New Directions

-Blaine also comes to McKinley’s prom with Kurt

-Finn and Rachel have a scene together in a motel room…after-after-prom, perhaps?

-Will and Emma have a lot of scenes together. Is a reconciliation on the horizon? After all, she and Carl (John Stamos) had to have some marriage counseling with Holly…

-Puck, Sam and Artie sing Rebecca Black’s “Friday”, aka one of the worst things to ever happen to Youtube. Seriously, how hard is it to decide whether to sit in the front seat or back seat? And you’re like 13, why are your friends driving to school? AND FOR THE LOVE OF GUMBY, USE SOME FREAKING VERBS! (/Rebecca Black rant)

***HUGE PROM SPOILER***

According to a tweet sent out by a Glee extra, prom king and queen are…Kurt and Karofsky! I don’t know about you, but I definitely didn’t see that coming. They could always do a re-shoot, or it could be a publicity stunt, but it could be true.

Make sure to tune in to Fox tomorrow night at 8EST/7CST for “A Night Of Neglect”. My episode recap and thoughts will follow

-Alex
