wXw Kreuzzug ZXI – USA Tour THIS WEEKEND~!

by on April 7, 2011

We’ve said numerous times on our show that April may go down as the biggest month in independent wrestling in 2011. Please join us this weekend on this website for what promises to be an absolutely action packed weekend featuring so many varieties of wrestling. We’ll cover Best of the Best and CZW’s Sunday matinee at the ACE Arena in a bit, but first, join me as I briefly run down wXw’s portion of the weekend. Check out what I am most looking forward to seeing live and what you (possibly) may see on iPPV!

The weekend begins Friday night with NWA Force-1, a small independent league run by Sami Callahan in New Jersey, as they present their biggest show in it’s short history. A clash between the Osirian Portal as Amasis vs. Ophidian headlines, as well as a very interesting looking undercard with Joe Gacy defending the promotion’s title against former tag team partner Sami Callahan, a rematch from IWA-MS past as Chris Hero takes on former student Emil Sitoci, and Philadelphia vs. the UK collide as Devon Moore and BLK JEEZ take on The LDRS  of Zack Sabre Jr. & Marty Scurll. Plus if you have some reason that a match between Greg Excellent and Big Van Walter may be your cup of tea, that is on the show as well. Walter is a very good big man and very well may give Excellent the best match of his career.

Saturday is maybe, next to LAST Saturday, the most anticipated one day of pro wrestling this year. In addition to an absolutely LOADED Best of the Best, wXw presents an incredibly stacked lineup. In a day full of fantastic junior heavyweight action, a No Ropes Barbed Wire match takes center stage as the legendary “Crazy Monkey” Jun Kasai takes on the “Golden Boy” himself, Drake Younger.  In addition to non-juniors action, a match that makes most almost instantly salivate, wXw Unified World Wrestling Champion Daisuke Sekimoto defends against Chris Hero.  Also on the card is my personal pick for the sleeper match of the weekend as Big van Walter & Brodie Lee take on Johnny Moss & Michael Elgin. Bad Bones tries to make all forget about last year’s performance as he takes on the wXw 16 Carat Gold 2011 Winner Sami Callihan.

Also on the show is a match I am just stoked to see live given how great it sounds on paper and how great the previous two matches were reported – Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly team up to take on the LDRS Marty Scurll & Zack Sabre Jr. Necro Butcher RETURNS to the ECW Arena to take on the cocky Karsten Beck and rounding the afternoon out is a BATTLE OF RONIN four way with PWG’s Brandon Gatson making his awaited East Coast debut against Chuck Taylor, Johnny Gargano, and Emil Sitoci. This show is going to be LIVE on iPPV at Hybrid.ent. However, they have been less than successful their previous two attempts at iPPV. Buy with caution, but also note that they do provide a no questions asked refund if the stream ends up not working. At least thats how it was last year.

The weekend concludes Sunday at the awesome ACE Arena as a hard hitting tag team match of Daisuke Sekimoto & Johnny Moss vs. The Briscoe Brothers main events. Also on the show is Jun Kasai (who has himself a very busy weekend) taking on Sami Callahan and Chris Hero vs. Zack Sabre Jr. in what has potential to be a classic. Adam Cole takes on Emil Sitoci, while his tag partner Kyle O’Reilly battles Marty Scurll in singles action after competing against each other in tag action the previous night. Rounding out the lineup is Bad Bones & Scotty Vortekz vs. Big van Walter & Drake Younger and Chris Dickinson vs. Karsten Beck.

Please note if you are attending any of these shows this weekend, please feel free to send us a message with your thoughts. We’ll have coverage for sure of Saturday’s show, including a special podcast. Get hyped!
