This week’s edition of Retro Audio comes, once again, from the “Tom & ____ Talk ____” archives. The first time Joe Gagne and I appeared on a show together, we were Mikeless.

Because of recent events, one could absolutely discount the good things that once came from IWA Mid-South. We’re not saying a certain person isn’t a complete scumbag who deserves to be raked over the coals, but sometimes, it’s just nice to look back at the positives. From its humble beginnings to the “Super-Indy” run with guys like Samoa Joe, Mike Quackenbush, AJ Styles, CM Punk, and more, the Ted Petty Invitational was a pretty darned good tournament during its run.

From September of 2009, Joe took a break from fighting the world to sit down with me to discuss the Ted Petty Invitational and its rich history. The show includes live thoughts from both of us, as I got to take advantage of the close location and attend the 2004-2006 editions of the tournament, while Joe flew out from Massachusetts for the 2005 tournament.

Approximate time: 90 Minutes.
